People that are unemployed these days would probably tell you that you are lucky to have a job. I'm sure they would love to go to work everyday and be able to provide for their families. I think I do a pretty good job at inspiring my students. It is up to them to take that out into the world and do things with their optimism. People should never sit on the sidelines and wait for things to change. We must make the change happen that we want (i.e. a single payer health care system). :-) I don’t think I said anything about not being happy to have a job. It's time Americans quit settling for less. This country's history of exceptionalism should not be relegated to the past. Unfortunately we are told more and more about what we can't do and why we shoouldn't expect much. I still believe in the greatness of this country and our people. In the late 70's we were told government was the answer and our best days were behind us. Fortunately strong men like Reagan stood up and reminded us that the sun has not set on America. They pushed government out of the way just enough so that the ingenuity of our great people could lead the world into an era of prosperity and freedom never before known to man. You are a teacher my dear brother, you should be inspiring our next generation not to mediocrity, but to greatness!
